Driving Directions

From Tucson: [Coming from the West]

Travel east on Interstate 10 [towards El Paso].
Take exit #281, which is Highway

#83 to Sonoita / Patagonia.

[Coming from the East] Heading towards Tucson
After Benson there will be an exit to Sierra Vista and then an exit to Sonoita-Patagoia
which is Arizona Highway 83.
Head south on Arizona Highway #83 until you reach the junction of Az. Hwy #82, turn west [right] towards Patagonia. [12 miles from Sonoita].
Watch the speed limits Patagonia, they are enforced!

From Patagonia

Turn south on to 3 rd Avenue and then east on McKeown Avenue. McKeown becomes Harshaw Road, which is paved for approximately 6 miles. You will encounter a "T" where Harshaw Rd. [straight ahead]
becomes USFS #58, and is DIRT.
The south road is paved and goes to Washington Camp.
Do not take the road to Washington Camp!
Take #58 to the SAN RAFAEL VALLEY. The road will be dirt for the next 10 miles.

You will wind through Harshaw Creek following the signs that lead you to
the Vaca Ranch, Lone Mountain, San Rafael Cattle Company and Coronado Outfitters.
You will top out into the San Rafael Valley.
Within a couple of miles you will see the Vaca Ranch corrals on your left.
You're on the right track. Within another mile there will be a road that “T”s into #58
and a sign that lists all of the local ranches including the LAZY J2 Ranch.
Turn right [south] onto that road

You will cross two cattleguards within a relatively short distance. There will be 3 mail box on your left and a sign indicating the KiHeKah Headquarters and driveway. The next left, approximately 1/4 mile, says Coronado Outfitters & Lazy J2 Ranch and there will be a road that dips down into the Santa Cruz River Bed. Take this left and follow it to the Red & Gray Barn.
